There just is something about the name Opel GT. And the Saturn Sky is the US counterpart to that car. I refer, naturally, to the classic and original mini corvette. I recently saw one during a trip to the Netherlands, and naturally included the footage of it in this review.
I am happy to report that the spiritual successor to that iconic car is still very much corvette like. Yes, it was an automatic, but that didn’t mean it wasn’t fun to drive! What’s your opinion on these?

The base model is so uninspiring to drive. The automatic steals any responsiveness from the drivetrain and the NA 4cyl lacks any real excitement. The exhaust sounds like garbage from inside the car, and the interior is shite.
The manual base model is far more fun, though.

Luckily this was the redline model with well over 100hp and tq more on tap. Still auto, it would have been more engaging for sure with the manual but hey, it was still a lot of fun to drive IMHO!
